Message from Secretary General

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the world of Bangladesh Dermatological Society. The Bangladesh Dermatological Society is a non-profit organization established in 1962. Since its humble beginning it has expanded and developed significantly over the past decades. The medical and nursing staffs of this institution battled the COVID-19 pandemic despite having few resources. As we continue to embrace change and innovation, we never lose our sight of our mission to provide compassionate and quality care to those who entrust their health to us. In order to fulfill our mission of saving and enriching lives, we strive to give our patients the most suitable and standardized medical care possible at a reasonable cost.

We have a strong commitment to the society we work with, and as such, we constantly foster national and international interaction through conferences, seminars, mettings, offer training facilities and courses, and we plan international field trips to exchange advance knowledge of skin conditions, leprosy, HIV/AIDS, and sexually transmitted diseases. Lastly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of the life members, committee members, doctors and staff of the Bangladesh Dermatological Society who have exemplified how to provide our patients with top-notch dermatological care while also lending their support to the organization's future success.

Thank you for your unwavering support.

Regards,
Prof. Dr. Shaheen Reza Chowdhury
