We are striving toward the mission listed below, which outlines our goals and objectives since the inception of Bangladesh Dermatological Society in 1962.
1) To enhance public education regarding skin diseases, leprosy, arsenicosis, STD, AIDS, and HIV/AIDS, including sexual disorders, treatment options, and remedies, as well as to disseminate scientific knowledge among medical professionals.
2) Promote and coordinate surveys and research on skin diseases, leprosy, arsenicosis, STD, and HIV/AIDS and establish an Institute of Dermatology for this purpose.
3) To promote and organize relief and rehabilitation of cured, controlled and deformed leprosy cases. If needed, will also assume management of organizations established specifically for this purpose.
4) To provide training facilities and courses, as well as seminars, meetings, and conferences to foster national and international connections. Plan international visits aimed at advancing knowledge about skin, leprosy, STDs, HIV/AIDS, and sexual disorders.
5) To become affiliated with relevant international organizations for the sharing of knowledge and technological resources on skin and venereal diseases.
6) To publish scientific journals, periodicals, and health education materials related to Dermatology, STD and HIV/AIDS.
7) To organize and maintain a library of the Bangladesh Dermatological Society.
